Online events are a new and exciting way of learning, networking and doing business. They take place entirely online, and all participants access the event via their computer. However instead of having to travel to an event venue, all of this can all be accessed from the comfort of your desk.

What are the technical requirements?

Few people had any difficulty in accessing our first event, Building The Best Luxury Travel Business, and you don't need any specialist technology.

However you do need Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 or above, or Firefox 1.5+ on your PC or Firefox 1.5+ on your Mac.

On entering the event, a system check is run on your computer which identifies any requirements that need to be addressed to interact with the show.

What does the online event include?

It includes all the areas you'd expect to find at a physical event, such as:

The Exhibition Hall: This is where virtual stands from exhibitors are located. They are fully staffed during the event, allowing you to visit and engage with the exhibitor via text chat, email or by exchanging electronic business cards as well as watching videos about new and existing products. You can also enter prize draws and download useful information from the exhibitor. An exhibitor directory makes it easy to locate specific stands.

The Auditorium: This is where you can watch all the presentations. Some are scheduled to happen live during the event and all are available on-demand afterwards.

Other sessions are pre-recorded and available throughout the duration of the show. The presentations include interviews, panel debates and presentations, and will be a mixture of videos, webinars and text chats.

The Resource Centre: This provides a central location to access all the information available from exhibitors and ttgluxury, including presentations, factsheets, brochures, research papers, promotions and documents.

Prize Centre: Here you can enter to win a selection of fantastic prizes from our generous suppliers and exhibitors.

The Networking Lounge: The lounge allows you to network with other visitors at the event, using live text chats.

How do I register to attend?

If you visit the event's website and fill in the form on the 'Registration' page, this registers you as an attendee for the virtual event. We then send you an email confirming your registration, and give you the option of running a quick computer check, just to ensure your computer will display all of the event elements correctly.
