If so keep reading, as this leading business travel company is currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to market their services to blue-chip prospects. JOB DESCRIPTION Implement agreed strategies for attracting new business and for promoting the company Successfully account manage a client portfolio (client communications, reporting, reviews, business plans, overseeing comment management) Develop and manage a sales strategy for new business Manage a sales pipeline and prospect clients Manage competitive pricing and quote for new business relationships Ensure that new sales are implemented in line within guidelines (fees, credit, contracts & timelines) Monitor signed to traded ratio's for all new accounts, and report/rectify trading deficiencies Negotiate and build relationships with key accounts to ensure win win situation Develop and promote the brand image and message both internally and externally to ensure that it provides a consistent corporate identity to both internal and external customers. Be responsible for developing own portfolio of prospects with personal sales target (amount to be agreed) Support weekly calls with the Sales & Operations Director Provide Weekly/Monthly reports to the Sales & Operations Director Effectively liaise with stakeholders in Finance, HR, Operations and IT Keep abreast of products and industry developments Additional duties as requested EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Proven sales skills with mid-market sector prospects Proven experience in B2B / B2C travel sales Proven experience in client account management A detailed understanding of the corporate travel market (sales/account management/operations) Formal presentation skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate in a friendly, pleasant and professional manner Excellent analytical skills Motivated and pro-active A self-starter who must be able to operate on own initiative Professional, engaging and positive in manner and outlook Demonstrable bid management skillset Ability to build and retain customer relationships Excellent level of general computer skills including MS Office Suite Experience of using a customer contact database Ability to motivate and get results with a proven track record of profitable sales Ability to target the message to different types of customer at different levels Understand and adapt to a changing sales environment To respond to changing business needs and reprioritise own time accordingly Managing and motivating team colleagues ensuring team work is maintained Contribute to self and career development Must be able to travel throughout the UK for sales and business management meetings.
